What does “New Photos on Loop” mean?

If you've noticed an icon on your Loop frame that looks like a little alert or badge, don't worry — it's not an error! It's actually a helpful feature called New Photos on Loop.

New Photos on Loop controls how long new photos stay highlighted before they blend into your full photo collection (what we call your "deck of memories").

This feature makes it easy to know what’s new — especially when multiple people are sending pictures to your frame!

Recommended Settings

➡️ If others are sending photos to your frame:

We recommend setting New Photos on Loop to “Until Dismissed.”

That way, any new photo that shows up stays marked as new until you swipe through it or manually dismiss it. That means you'll never miss a special moment.

➡️ If you’re the only one sending all the photos:

You probably already know what’s coming through, so you might prefer to set it to a shorter time like, 1-5 minutes. That way, you won't have to manually hit the "Return to Slideshow" button to return to your photos.

⚙️ How to change the "New Photos on Loop" setting:

You can adjust this anytime in the Loop app or on the frame.

On the frame:

1. Tap the screen.

2. Select Settings.

3. Tap "New Photos on Loop" then select the time of your choice. Click the back arrow to save the settings.

In the Loop app:

1. Open the app and tap Menu.

2. Select Frame Settings and choose your frame.

3. Tap "New Photos on Loop" and adjust timing to your liking, using the back arrow to save the settings.
