How to Factory Reset your Loop FrameUpdated a month ago
If you're having trouble with your frame, or simply want to start over from the beginning then you'll need to perform a factory reset. This will restore the frame to its new out of box state but will not make any changes to your Loop account otherwise. All of your albums, photos, and family setup will remain untouched. Once you setup the frame again you'll have the option to re-add your existing photos when you log in.
‼️There are two ways to do this: if your frame is already set up and displaying photos and if it is not yet setup. Please find both options below and choose the one that works for you.‼️
My frame has already been setup and is displaying photos | My frame has not been setup yet or the Settings menu is inaccessible |
1. On your Loop frame - tap anywhere on screen to reveal the menu, then press Settings. 2.. Select Factory reset under the Configuration menu and follow the prompts. |

👉 If you had to factory reset your frame to fix an error, you will also need to remove the duplicate frame from your account, as it will appear as a "new frame" in the app.
Additionally, if you're upgrading to a new Loop frame and plan to gift your old one, make sure to remove the original frame from your account so the new owner can set it up under their own login.
If you’re simply switching accounts or no longer want the frame associated with your account, you’ll also want to remove it so it no longer appears in the app.
❌ To Remove the Frame from Your Account
- Open the Loop app on your phone and press the Menu in the bottom bar.
- Press Frame Settings.
- Select the name of the frame you just factory reset and want to remove.
- Press Reset at the bottom, then Remove this Loop from my account.
