Why aren't all of my photos/albums appearing on my Loop frame?Updated a month ago

If your album isn't displaying all photos on your Loop frame, don't worry! Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

🎄 Busy Season Note: During the holiday season (Christmas and early January), when many people are setting up new frames at the same time, the system can experience temporary delays. Sometimes, just giving the frame 15-20 minutes is all it needs to start receiving photos. We apologize for the inconvenience—this just means everyone is enjoying their new Loops! This issue should resolve on its own, but if it doesn’t, please follow the steps below.

📱Step 1: Check Upload Status

Are the photos successfully uploading in the Loop app? Photos that are uploading still will appear blurry with a loading spinner over them. If you force quit the app and still see them in your home feed, or if they're in your albums then they've successfully uploaded.

If they haven't finished uploading, make sure you have good cellular or Wi-Fi reception and leave the Loop app open until the upload bar at the top is complete, then they should appear on your frame momentarily.

🛜 Step 2: Check Your Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Tap the frame's touchscreen to bring up the menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under the Configuration menu on the right, tap Wi-Fi Network.
  4. If there is a checkmark next to the network name, your frame is connected to Wi-F. If not, reconnect to the network and try again.

🖼️ Step 3: Ensure Albums Are Set to Load on the Frame

  1. Open the Loop app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Navigate to Albums.
  3. Click on the album in question.
  4. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  5. Under Frames with this album, verify that your Loop's name appears and is toggled on.
  6. If it’s already toggled on and the photos still don’t appear, proceed to the next step.

🔌Step 4: Restart Your Loop Frame

  1. Hold down the power button on your Loop frame until the screen shows "Loop is shutting down" and turns off.
  2. Wait for 30 seconds, then press the power button again to turn it back on.
  3. Check if your albums are now syncing.

◀️ Step 5: Perform a Factory Reset

If the above steps don’t work, you can try a factory reset. Please note that you will need to reconfigure your slideshow settings afterward as this resets it to a new, out of box state. Don’t worry—nothing on your account will be lost during this process. Your albums and photos will remain intact and should resync when you log back into the frame with your existing Loop account.

  1. On the touch screen, select the Settings (gear icon).
  2. In the Configuration menu, choose Factory Reset.
  3. When the popup question appears, select Yes, reset my Loop.
  4. The frame will go through a reset process and be ready to set up again.
